Liver Cake Recipe

I've not blogged for a while now. To be honest there's only so much that you can write that's interesting about the dogs you walk and the places you go. So I've decided to share with you a tasty, easy to make, homemade treat that our dogs love, with their Owner's permission of course.

Please research and decide for yourself whether or not to include Garlic Cloves.

Liver Cake Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1lb (450g) lamb or ox liver
  • 1lb (450g) self-raising flour
  • 3 eggs
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • milk or water

Method

  • Crack the eggs into a measuring jug
  • Add an equal volume of milk or water to the measuring jug and whisk
  • Blend the liver and garlic in a food processor
  • Add the egg mixture and blend to a sponge mixture consistency
  • Empty contents into a greased baking tray
  • Bake at 180 degrees or (350F) for 35 - 45 minutes
  • Allow to cool and cut into bite size pieces
  • Freeze when completely cool and use within 6 months
